I was standing in line at the grocery store. And there she was. Amy Grant. Smiling at me. I smiled back. And then I reluctantly walked away without her. The wallet said no. She has Vince. She doesn’t need me.
A little girl stood behind me. She was staring at the same magazine.
LITTLE GIRL: Wow. Look at their faces. They look the same.
Her mother just smiled and nodded.
LITTLE GIRL: Why are they giving away Amy’s necklace? Did she pass on?
“Pass on”?! I tried not to laugh. Kids are awesome.
If you’re a Google-friendly frugal gal like me, you can find a way to avoid article deprivation. So read the Amy and Vince article (in its entirety!) at Good Housekeeping here.
And then watch their “House of Love” video. And pine after those mid-nineties curls.
Note to self: Get a perm.

When I first heard that Amy & Vince were married / divorced (who can keep up with celebrity relationship statuses?), I misheard “Vince Gill” as “Vince Neil“. Vast difference.
