Yesterday I visited a nursing home. In a neighborhood completely foreign to me. A poorly lit neighborhood. At night.
Before heading out, I consulted with the Google Map geniuses. I had no printer access, so I went old-school and sketched the directions into a notebook. I’ll get an iPhone one day. But not today. Or tomorrow.
I did not get lost. Score one for the magical combo of Google and a Papermate pen.
And while I’m a big fan of the “arrive alive” concept, I sort of wish Google Maps gave me these directions instead:

Aha…I love it.
“Godspeed.”
Too funny. (I’m borrowing this comic, btw.)
Glad you got there safely (you did, right?). You’re probably better off with paper directions in a sketchy, poorly lit neighbourhood. The familiar glow of the iphone probably lures thieves (and vampires).
Oh i’m clever, it does say that you arrived alive….
